The Libre Software World Conference 2012 that will be held in Santiago de Compostela on the 18th and 19th of October will be mainly focused on offering an opportunity to learn more about the latest Free Software innovations, serving as a showcase for the introduction of Successful cases, setting up a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas between authorities, enterprises and users worldwide.The event will have 3 main tracks:

• Businesses: Three main goals will drive this track in order to let participants to learn how other companies have successfully used Free Software or its philosophy as a basis for developing projects, provide a venue in which to showcase products and services and generate new opportunities through networking.
• Public Administration and institutions: Administration plays a key role in Free Software deployment. As a result, a track is defined in order to offer administrators a discussion forum which will help them discover how other institutions are using Free Software, discuss the latest advances in deployment and analyze the impact of policies on the adoption of Free Software.
• Citizens: In a conference about Free Software, it is very important to review all the ways in which people can benefit from Free Software. This track will be focused on finding out about the latest Free Software tools, getting involved with user groups and development communities and participating in hands-on workshops.

The Libre Software World Conference 2012 of Santiago de Compostela has been thought as an open event and source of varied but specific and problem-solving solutions applied to several industries. During these two days of knowledge and experience exchange, enterprises, institutions and individuals will find projects, breakthroughs, individual cases and discussion boards created especially for them on the most efficient technological free-software basis.

The conference will feature plenary sessions for cross-disciplinary or especially relevant themes for visitors at the discretion of the organizers.
